2023 Year of the Rabbit and Good Habits!
I’m BACK ON TRACK and I certainly hit the ground running last week and haven't looked back! I started a collection which I submitted this Wednesday to a Surface Design Challenge with UPPERCASE magazine and entered in my first weekly Spoonflower Challenge! (I invite you to go vote if you’re interested.) It is so fun to be creating art and heading in the right direction….
Now I have to keep a sustainable art and business practice schedule along with my goal of getting physically healthy this year. I can do this by implementing better HABITS into my daily and weekly routines like making a schedule and making sure to do something physical everyday. Yes, Pete (my husband), I know you have been telling me to make a schedule for years!). I also am working on getting rid of some not so helpful habits like doom-scrolling and wasting time on my phone!
I am listening to the Atomic Habits Audiobook by James Clear. (Shameless Affiliate Links here.) He talks about the 4 Laws of Habit Creating:
Make it Obvious
Make it Attractive
Make it Easy
Make it Satisfying
Conversely, breaking a bad habit:
Make it Invisible
Make it Unattractive
Make it Difficult
Make it Unsatisfying
So it seems like with the Chinese New Year starting on Sunday 1-22-2023, it’s a perfect time to celebrate and begin incorporating good habits into my schedule!
This site states, “The sign of the Rabbit is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture. 2023 is predicted to be a year of hope.”
Sounds good to me!
What good habits will you focus on in 2023?
